Manufacturing in Britain is expensive, but we believe in supporting local makers and craftspersons. That's why each of our packs is cut and sewn from start to finish in the UK. Every bag is then hand signed by its maker.

Weatherproof waxed cotton
Our custom Halley Stevenson’s waxed organic cotton is highly weather proof, to keep your gear nice and dry on those rainy days. The Fluorocarbon-free dry impregnated waxed finish doesn’t crack or transfer onto other surfaces either, but it ages beautifully.

Custom topography with drawstring closure
Lid with steel buckle and inner drawstring closure, featuring custom topography of Logan Rock and the geologically stunning West Penwith region in Cornwall. The design of this favourite spot of ours has been hand screen printed in Sheffield onto a natural flecked organic cotton canvas, using organic water-based inks. Beautifully functional and tactile. The drawstring is made from US paracord and is finished with a hand-stitched leather tightening loop.

Our 316 military grade custom stainless steel buckles are laser cut and polished in steel city Sheffield. The side compression strap buckles and sternum straps are laser cut and polished in Wales.

Natural undyed leather base and details
Our durable, natural, undyed leather buckle loops and grab handle begin as a russet colour, but soon age beautifully to a rich tan patina. We use Spanish leather – a chromium-free and fully biodegradable and sustainable by-product of the food industry – that we then hand cut in Derbyshire.

Covert stash pocket with waxed organic cotton internal sleeves, perfect for keeping your valuables close yet accessible. Finished with a neat storm flap and hardy Japanese-made YKK zip.

An external access covert pocket at the top for documents and laptops up to 15". The chunky, robust Japanese-made YKK zip is finished with a flecked-blue US paracord zip pull.

The British woven cotton webbing on the front of the pack and shoulder straps is sewn in regular intervals to allow the attachment of carabiners or other accessories.

Most backpacks use foam padding made from petrochemicals, but our padding is made from recycled wool-rich carpet fibres from a premium carpet manufacturer in Yorkshire. Comfy, natural, sustainable.
